Main Features of the System.

This manual gives you step-by-step procedures that can help you set up an enjoyable, effective Personal Evangelism Program for your congregation which constantly expands and grow.

Key features of this system are as follows:

A team or teams of "Facilitators" have as their main Church job to continually be going around recruiting more teachers, more students, getting studies started, then checking-in with students and teachers to keep the studies on-track.  (Thus the program is constantly being reinforced and expanded.)

Their appeal to both potential teachers and potential students is both personal and specific.  (Thus a high rate of positive response.)

The Facilitators take out of the way the hard things that make most people reluctant to become involved in personal evangelism as either teachers or students.  (Thus an enthusiastic response to do something both teachers and students would want to do if only the circumstances were proper.)

The Facilitators help teachers and students decide on a mutually-agreeable plan of study from a variety of excellent options.  (Thus a good chance the study will continue to the end.)

One Option offered is the study-guide "Basic Bible: Christ and His Church."  This series of ten different courses has the following advantages:

(Thus an easy-to-use but totally flexible format for teachers, and a defined yet challenging study for students.)

What is Personal Evangelism.

Personal Evangelism is you showing Jesus to another person.

We can personally show Jesus to other people in the following ways:

Personal Evangelism is the main way in which people are converted to Christianity.  Without a strong personal evangelism program your congregation can expect only an occasional baptism.  It is likely your congregation will not grow, and may indeed shrink.  In today's world---the same as in the first century---people need to see Jesus to be convinced that this is the true and best way to live their life in this world, and that Jesus is the true and living Way to god.

Living a moral and good life is a prerequisite to showing other people Jesus, but that alone rarely influences others to be interested in Christianity.  Unselfishly doing good deeds to others will strongly encourage them to listen to our words, but those deeds by themselves engender only a personal relationship with you, not necessarily with Jesus Christ.  It is only through sitting down and at length carefully reading and discussing the Bible that people really see Jesus.

Thus a person becomes convicted to Jesus when all of the following steps occur and together support each other:

The Best Personal Evangelism.

The best personal evangelism program is not a knock-down, drag-'em-out fight in which we try to convince people that their interpretation of the Bible is wrong and our interpretation of the Bible is right.

The best personal evangelism is where we together open up our one bible, together read what is there, and together think about and discuss the meaning of what we have found.

The best personal evangelism on a congregational level is back-up and supported by the following:

It all works together:

But the key fundamental element is me directly showing Jesus in the Bible to another person---as backed-up by my unselfish concern for that person as supported by the track-record of my entire life.

The best personal evangelism is the most fun thing, the most meaningful thing, that a Christian has ever been involved in.
