DEVELOPMENT
One of the largest resources for Personal Growth and Self Improvement on the Internet. Hundreds of articles and organized links are provided to over 4000 websites specializing in Personal Growth, Self Improvement and Self Help. Subjects covered include: Dieting and Nutrition, Organizations and Newsgroups, Health and Fitness, Mental Health, Natural Medicine, Psychology, Recovery, Relationships, Goal Setting, Meditations, and Seminars.
Volunteers are listed who have personally experienced many different situations and are willing to talk with others by 2-way private e-mail links on those topics and give advice. Subjects covered include: adoption, family problems, loneliness, depression, stress, divorce, domestic violence, ethics, funerals, creativity, time-management, dieting, parenting, smoking, teen problems, and weddings.

The W. Edwards Deming Institute
A nonprofit organization whose AIM is to "foster understanding of The Deming System of Profound Knowledge to advance commerce, prosperity, and peace."
Information on joining a large mailing list dedicated to understanding the topic of Quality, as viewed through the astute writings of Dr. W. Edwards Deming. Members receive e-mail postings from the group on many dynamic Quality topics, and can ask their own questions and make their own comments to the group. Received posts might run to ten or more a day, necessitating quick scanning to find the "gems" particularly useful to the reader (though a DIGEST form of subscription can easily be set, for which one receives only one message per day, with all the posted messages include therein.) Many world-class Quality experts and consultants contribute to this list, making it a potent learning tool. Also available are extensive, easily-searched archives documenting many in-depth discussions of the past; and various thought-provoking articles.

Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles
"SSAF is a not-for-profit organization established to advance research, conservation, and education concerning amphibians and reptiles...the largest international herpetological society...recognized worldwide for having the most diverse program of publications, meetings, and other activities. Membership in the Society is open to anyone with an interest in herpetology."
