OVERVIEW

388 pages long, this extremely well-organized and conversationally-written text breaks down the Quality Management movement to ten central Principles and eighteen main Mechanisms.   It demonstrates how that core Principles which work best to motivate and empower people even in the cold, "bottom-line" business world are in reality derived straight from the Bible.  In addition, it's shown throughout the book how that the Mechanisms are also Biblically-oriented techniques.

Both THEORY and PRACTICAL APPLICATION are extensively addressed and illustrated through many specific, real-life examples.  This book also benefits from many Illustrations and Figures where key concepts are extracted and crystallized.

Quality Management is taken from the Senior Executive business level, and extended down to the "regular" person working at his/her desk, dealing with a family, working in a volunteer group such as a church congregation as a member or leader, in school situations, and in one's personal life.

The AIM of this book is to describe how your personal understanding and implementation of Bible-derived Quality Principles and Mechanisms can make your own life, family, church group, school-situation, volunteer organization, or job-situation easier, more productive, and more enjoyable.

THE MORAL

FOUNDATION OF QUALITY.

THE RELATION OF QUALITY

TO RELIGION.

Briefly, before getting into the specific Quality Mechanisms, I'd like to clarify the relation of Quality to Religion.

Like any System of Thought---the Quality perspective can be taken too far.  Quality is not a Religion.  Quality is not a Life Philosophy.  Quality is an organizing framework for successful management---be it for a family, a religious congregation, a school, a job, or one's personal life.

A focus on Quality should not and does not in any way attempt to replace or substitute for heart-felt Philosophies, Religions, or Moral Principles.

At the same time, though, that Quality is not a Religion---Quality Principles and Mechanisms do have a strong moral basis.

Why?  Answer: because all throughout History, there are certain mind-sets and ways of acting that really do produce the best results.  These most-productive mind-sets and ways-of-acting in dealing with other people have been recognized for ages in many of the worlds greatest philosophies, religions, and moral principles.

QUALITY PRINCIPLES

FOUND IN THE CHRISTIAN BIBLE.

I myself am most familiar with the Christian Bible.  Allow me for the sake of illustration to briefly draw a few parallels of Quality Principles to Bible teachings.  You are welcome to extend this reasoning---finding your own parallels---to your own religious or philosophical beliefs/experiences.

-Competition Demands Quality-

Galations 5:16-26

So I say, walk and live in the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of Godless human nature.  For the sinful nature desires what is opposed to the Spirit, and the Spirit is opposed to Godless human nature.  They are in conflict with each other, preventing you from doing what you want.  But if you are guided by the Spirit you are not subject to the Law.  The practices of the flesh are clear and obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, indecency, idol-worship, devil-worship, hatred, discord, jealousy, selfishness, dissensions, heresies, envy, intoxication, carousing, and the like.  I warn you, as I did before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self-control.  Against these things there is no law.  Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the Godless sinful nature with its appetites and desires.  Since we live by the Spirit, let us walk by the Spirit.  Let us not become conceited, competitively provoking and irritating one another, being jealous of one another.  [paraphrased]

All throughout the Bible humanity's worst behavior is contrasted with the highest behavior.  Christians are urged to strive to be the best they can be, especially in relating to other people.  An internal competition is evoked, whereby our animal nature struggles against our spiritual, Godly nature.  We see this in ourselves.  Other people see it in us.  On the one hand is selfish debauchery that considers only the pleasure of the moment.  On the other hand is selfless consideration of the good of other human beings around us.  Our highest achievement is seen not in winning out over others, but in doing good for other people thats recognized by them as such!

-Quality is Defined by Customers-

Luke 22:24-27

There arose a dispute among them, as to which one of them was reputed to be the greatest.  Jesus said to them: "The kings of the Gentiles are deified by them and rule as emperor-gods; and those in authority are called benefactors.  But you are not to be like that.  Instead, let him who is the greatest among you be like the youngest, and him who is chief and leader as the servant.  For who is greater, the master who reclines at the table, or the one who serves?  Is it not the one who is at the table?  But I am among you as one who serves."  [paraphrased]

John 13:1-17

It was just before the Passover Feast.  Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and return to the Father.  As he had loved those who were his own in the world, he loved them to the last and to the highest degree.  The evening meal was being served, and Satan had already put the thought of betraying Jesus in the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.  Jesus was fully aware that the Father had put all things into his hands, that he had come forth from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and took a servant's towel, which He wrapped around his waist.  He poured water into a basin, and began to wash his disciples feet, drying them the towel.  And so he came to Simon Peter, who said to Jesus: "Lord, are my feet to be washed by You?" Jesus answered: "You do not understand now what I am doing, but later you will."  Peter said to Him: "You shall never wash my feet!" Jesus replied: "Unless I wash you, you will not share in companionship with me." "Then, Lord" Simon Peter said, "not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!" Jesus answered: "Any one who is bathed needs not to wash except for his feet.  You are clean, but not all of you." He knew the one who was betraying him---for this reason he said Not all of you are clean. When he had finished washing their feet and he put on his outer garments and sat down again.  He asked them: "Do you understand what I have done for you?  If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet---you also should wash one another's feet.  I have given you this as an example, so that you should in your turn do what I have done to you."   [paraphrased]

A recurrent theme to Christianity is to attain greatness through service---not just doing good things for others as I think they will benefit from, but as a servant whose objective is to carry out the bidding of others.  From this great humility comes Godly Greatness.

-Quality Requires an AIM-

Matthew 22:34-40

But when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees gathered together.  And one of their number, a lawyer, tested him with a question: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"  Jesus replied: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your intellect.  This is the greatest, most important, principle commandment.  And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as you do yourself.  Upon these two commandments depends and sums up all the Law and the prophets."  [paraphrased]

John 17:1-5

After Jesus said this, he lifted up His eyes to Heaven and said: "Father, the hour has come.  Glorify Your Son, so that your son may glorify and extol and honor and magnify you.  Even as you granted him power and authority over all human kind, now glorify him---so that he may give eternal life to all those you have given him.  And this is eternal life: to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand you, the only true God, and with Jesus the Christ, the Messiah, whom you have sent.  I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.  Now, Father, glorify me together with you, Father, with the glory I had with you before the world began."  [paraphrased]

I Thessalonians 2:4

But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the glad tidings of the Gospel, so we speak not to please men, but to please God, who tests our hearts.  [paraphrased]

I Thessalonians 4:1

Finally, then, brethren, we request and admonish you by virtue of our union with the Lord Jesus, that, as you received from us instructions as to how to live in order to please God, as indeed you are doing; that you do so more and more abundantly---attaining yet greater perfection in living this life.  [paraphrased]

The New Testament tells Christians that they have an over-riding AIM which informs and aligns everything they do in life: to be pleasing to the Creator of the Universe, that by so doing---they might be united with God Himself.

-Quality is Best Produced

by Cooperation-

Ephesians 4:1-2,14-16

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the divine calling to which you have been called, completely humble and gentle, patient, putting up with each other in love.  Then we will no longer be children, tossed like ships back and forth between chance gusts of teaching, blown about with every changing wind of doctrine, preyed on by cunning men, caught up in deceitful schemes.  Instead, speaking truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ: from whom the whole body, joined and held together by that which every joint supplies, with each part powerfully adapted to its need, working properly in all its functions, grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.  [paraphrased]

Ephesians 5:21

Submitting yourselves one to another out of reverence for Christ.  [paraphrased]

Romans 12:1-11

I urge you therefore, brethren, in view of all the mercies of God, to present your bodies with all your members and faculties as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.  Do not conform to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, to prove for yourself what Gods will is: good, acceptable, and perfect.  For by Gods unmerited favor to me I warn every one among you not to estimate and think of himself more highly than he ought---but to rate his ability with sober, sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith. For just as in a physical body we each have many parts, organs, members---and all of these parts to not have the same function---so in Christ we who are many form one body.  Each individual member belongs to all the others: each mutually dependent on one another.  Each of us has different faculties, talents, qualities that differ according to the grace given to us.  Let us exercise them according to the proportion of our faith.  If it is anticipating the future, let him do so.  If it is practical service, let him serve.  If it is teaching, let him teach.  If it is encouragement, let him encourage.  If it is giving, let him give liberally.  If it is leadership, let him do so with diligence.  If it is showing mercy, do so with cheerfulness.  Love must be sincere.  Hate all ungodliness, but hold fast to that which is good.  Love each other with brotherly affection, as members of one family.  Honor one another above yourselves.  Never lacking in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.  [paraphrased]

Christians are told to work together in harmony, each dealing from their strengths for the good of all the rest.

-Quality Requires Facilitation-

II Timothy 2:1-2

You, then, my son, be strong in the spiritual blessings found in Christ Jesus.  And the instructions which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will also be qualified to teach others.  [paraphrased]

Galatians 6:1-2, 9-10

Brethren, if any person is overtaken in misconduct or sin of any sort, you who are spiritual should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; without any sense of superiority and with all gentleness, looking attentively to yourself lest you should be tempted also.  Carry one another's burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ.  And let us not be weary in well doing: for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.  Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people--that which is to their spiritual good and advantage---especially to those who are of the household of faith.   [paraphrased]

I Corinthians 14:40

Let all things be done with regard to decency and propriety in an orderly fashion.  [paraphrased]

Christians are told to gently help each other, especially in regards to doing all things decently and orderly.  This is done not with an "I'm so holy" attitude, but in a spirit of true, unselfish generosity.

-Cooperation is Most Productive

in Small Groups-

Matthew 9:35 - 10:1

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news, the Gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.  When he saw the crowds, he was moved with pity and sympathy for them, because they were distressed and downcast like sheep without a shepherd.  Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  So pray the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his fields."  He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them power and authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. [paraphrased]

Acts 2:36-47

"Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ---this Jesus whom you crucified."  Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren, what shall we do?" And Peter said to them, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.  And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  For the promise is to you and your children, and to all that are far away, even to as many as the Lord our God invites and bids to come to himself."  With many other words Peter warned them and pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." So then, those who accepted and welcomed his message were baptized, and there were added to their number that day about three thousand souls.  And they continued steadfastly in the instruction and fellowship of the apostles, in the breaking of bread (including the Lords supper), and prayers.  Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and signs were performed through the apostles.  And the believers were together and had all things in common.  They sold their possessions and goods, and gave to everyone as he had need.  And day after day they regularly assembled in the temple with united purpose, and in their homes they broke bread (including the Lords supper), taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, constantly praising God and being in favor and goodwill with all the people.  And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.  [paraphrased]

In Jesus' ministry, a paramount example of cooperation was his having a core group of twelve apostles, the optimal size for a task group.  When the Church started---following Jesus' death, crucifixion, and resurrection---those who converted to Christianity amongst the many Jews that had traveled to Jerusalem for yearly religious ceremonies, and were present at the day of Pentecost, continued to meet together at the temple, while also meeting from house to house in small groups.  So from the early days of Christianity, "small groups" was an important component for religious function and cooperation.

-Cooperation is Best

Driven by Love-

I John 4:7-21

Dear friends, let us love one another; for love springs from God.  He who loves his fellow men is born of God and progressively comes to know and understand God.  Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.  God displayed his love towards us in that God sent his one and only Son into the world so that we might live through him.  This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.  Dear friends, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.  No one has ever beheld God.  But if we love one another, God lives and remains in us, and his love is perfected in us.  We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.  And we ourselves have seen and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.  Whoever acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.  And we understand, recognize, and cherish the love God has for us.  God is love, and the one who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God in him.  By this, love is perfected with us, that we may have confidence in the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him.  There is no fear in love.  Perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment.  The one who fears in not made perfect in love.  We love him because he first loved us.  If any one says I love God and hates his brother, he is a liar.  He who does not love his brother who he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.  And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.  [paraphrased]

I Corinthians 13:1-13

If I can speak in the previously unlearned languages of men and angels, but have not reasoned, intentional love---I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.  If I can interpret divine will and purpose, understanding all the secret truths and mysteries, having all knowledge and faith even to the moving of mountains, but do not have in me God's love---I am a useless nobody.  And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, even delivering my body to be burned for God's glory, but have not God's love in me---I gain nothing.  Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, not bragging, not arrogant, not rude, not selfish, not easily angered, nor carries a grudge.  Love does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.  Love always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres.  Love never fails.  Interpreting divine will and purpose will be fulfilled and pass away.  Instant knowledge of unlearned languages will cease.  Knowledge will lose its value and be superseded by truth---for our present knowledge and teachings are incomplete and imperfect.  But when that which is perfect is come, the imperfect will be superseded and done away with.  When I was a child, I talked, thought, and reasoned like a child.  Now that I have become a man I have put aside childish things.  Now we see but a poor reflection in a mirror.  Then we will see face to face.  Now I know in part, but then I shall know fully, even in the same manner as I have been fully and clearly known and understood by God.  And so these three things remain: faith, hope, and love.  But the greatest of these is love.  [paraphrased]

Romans 8:28,31-39

We are assured and know that God being a partner in our labor, all things work together and are fitted into a plan for good to those that love God and are called according to his purpose.  What, then, shall we say in response to this?  If God is for us, who can be against us?  He that did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us---will he not also with him freely give us all things?  Who will accuse any of Gods elect of wrong doing, when it is God who justifies?  Who condemns us?  Christ Jesus, who died and was raised to life, intercedes with us at God's right hand.  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Shall suffering, affliction, tribulation, calamity, persecution, hunger, destitution, peril, or the sword?  As it is written: "For thy sake we are being put to death all day long.  We are counted as sheep for the slaughter."  [Psalms 44:22]  But in all these things we more than conquerors through him who loves us.  For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is Christ Jesus our Lord.  [paraphrased]

Hebrews 6:10-12

For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you have shown toward his name in ministering to the needs of his own consecrated people.  But we strongly and earnestly desire for each of you to show the same diligence and sincerity as to realizing the full assurance of your hope until the end---that you not be lazy, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises of God.  [paraphrased]

Christians are urged to work together in love---supporting, respecting, and appreciating each other---because of the love of God has already demonstrated to them.

-Quality Requires Knowledge-

John 8:24-32

"I told you that you would die in your sins.  If you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, adhering and trusting in me, you will die in your sins." Then they said to him, "Who are you, anyway?" Jesus said to them: "What have I been saying to you from the beginning?  I have much to say about you and to judge and condemn.  But he who sent me is true, and the things which I heard from him, these I speak to the world." They did not understand that he was telling them about his Father.  So Jesus added, "When you have lifted up the Son of man, you will understand that I am he for whom you look; and that I do nothing on my own initiative, but speak these things as the Father taught me.  The one who sent me is with me.  He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him." And as he spoke these things, many believed in him.  Jesus therefore said to those Jews that believed in him: "If you hold fast to my teachings and live in accordance with them, then you truly are my disciples.  And you will know the truth, and the truth shall set you free."  [paraphrased]

Romans 11:33 - 12:2

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God!  How unfathomable are his judgments!  How untraceable are his methods, ways, and paths.  For who has known the mind of the Lord and who has understood his thoughts or been his counselor? [Isaiah 40:13,14] Or who has given God anything for which he could claim a recompense?  For from him and through him and to him are all things.  To him be the glory forever!  So be it.  I beg you, therefore, brethren---but the mercies of God---that you present all your members and faculties as a living sacrifice, holy and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service.  Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you may prove for yourselves what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.  [paraphrased]

Psalms 19:1-3

The heavens are declaring the glory of God, their expanse proclaiming the work of his hands.  Day after day they pour forth speech.  Night after night they reveal knowledge.  There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard.  [paraphrased]

II Timothy 2:15

Study eagerly to present yourself to God as a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately handling the word of truth.  [paraphrased]

At the foundation of a Christians service to God is knowledge.  Through the teachings of the Bible, Christians seek the mind of God.  Applying the teachings and principles in the Bible, Christians seek to put that Godly information into useful action (knowledge)---necessary to be pleasing to God.

-Quality is Dynamic-

Colossians 3:1-2,16

If then you have been raised up with Christ to a new life, aim for and seek the eternal treasures that are above, where Christ is seated, at the right hand of God.  And set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and training one another in all insight, intelligence, and wisdom; singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, in thankfulness making melody to God in your hearts.  [paraphrased]

II Peter 3:18

But grow in spiritual strength and recognition/knowledge/understanding of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To him be majesty and splendor, both now and to the day of eternity.  So be it!  [paraphrased]

I Peter 2:1-3

Therefore, laying aside every trace of wickedness, deceit, insincerity, grudges, slander, and evil speaking---like newborn babies, crave the pure milk of the word, that by it you may grow; if so be you have tasted that the Lord is good.  [paraphrased]

Christians are continually striving to come closer to God, to grow ever more capable and willing to serve God.  Christians learn that truth is multidimensional, with always a deeper, wider, higher, more complex, or more substantial element to learn.  Thus, Quality, or being pleasing to God, is not attaining to some set plateau, but rather is a continual growth process in effectively applying the general principles of the Bible to new situations.

-Quality is Fun-

I Thessalonians 5:12-23

But we request of you, brethren, that you get to know those who labor among you---recognizing, acknowledging, appreciating, and respecting them all---who are your leaders in the Lord, who warn, kindly reprove, and instruct you.  Hold them in very high and affectionate esteem, appreciating their work, being at peace amongst yourselves.  And we urge you to admonish the loafers, disorderly, and unruly; encourage the timid and fainthearted, support and help the weak souls; be patient with everybody.  See that none of you repay evil with evil, but always aim to do good for one another and for all men.  Always be happy in your faith, rejoicing, continually glad-hearted.  Continually pray.  Thank God in everything, no matter the circumstance.  Always be thankful and give thanks, for this is Gods will for you who are in Christ Jesus.  Do not suppress the Spirit.  No not spurn the utterances of the prophets, who exhort and warn you.  Examine everything carefully.  Hold fast to that which is good.  Shrink from and stay away from all forms of evil.  And may the God of peace himself separate you from profane things, keeping you pure and consecrated, that your spirit, soul, and body may be preserved sound, complete, and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  [paraphrased]

Romans 5:1-2

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access into Gods favor---in which we firmly stand.  Let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God!  [paraphrased]

Philippians 2:12-18

Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed my suggestions, do so now, especially as I am not physically with you.  Show the enthusiasm you would have in my presence.  Cultivate and complete your salvation with reverence and awe.  For it is not from your own strength, but God is effectively working in you---energizing you to work for His good pleasure and delight!  Do all things without complaining or arguing.  Be blameless and pure, without fault---Gods children in a crooked and wicked generation, among whom you shine as bright beacons in a dark world, holding forth the word of life.  Then I will be able to rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain nor labored for no purpose.  Even if my lifeblood must be poured out on the sacrificial offering of your faithful service to God, it is a joy to do so---I rejoice with you all!  And for the same cause, you have joy also, and rejoice with me!  [paraphrased]

Christians are told to rejoice without ceasing.  Working together with other Christians, with the aim of pleasing God, should be fun!  Not superficial, trivial, non-productive fun---but that very deep, long-lasting enjoyment of exercising your talents at something meaningful, important, and personally-fascinating.  The meaningfulness is certified by the satisfaction and pleasure of one's customer's in being of real help to them in doing good things to meet their true needs.

EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT

OF GROUP ACTIVITIES.

Down through the ages, mankind has experimented with many different management strategies.  Dictators and oppressors have liberally used the whip and the sword to externally motivate people from fear.   Although this can produce impressive results in the short-term, in the long-term you foster great resentment, rebellion, and ultimately lose out on the best of the talents of your people.

Religions have often not risen above dictators!   Overzealous pursuit of sin can result in "tough love" that in order to "save" people kills them!  Those claiming to proclaim Gods love have sometimes made equal use of the sword, demanding conversion or death, driving out those that insist on different belief.

Witness the Christian Crusades that sought to liberate the Holy Land.  Witness the Dark Ages where those that believed the world was round and not the center of the universe were persecuted and killed.  Witness those that migrated to the New World to escape persecution, only to become more intolerant of those who believed differently than even their own former persecutors.  Witness the Salaam Witch Trials in America, where zeal against Satan was expressed as death to all "unrepentent" sinners! Witness the great ethnic and religious conflicts of the late twentieth century, where people that look identical to me are hated, killed, and driven from their lands because of slightly different religious beliefs.

Truly enlightened religions and religious individuals, on the other hand, reject the notion that people are stupid, evil beasts that must be motivated to productivity (or righteousness) through fear.  Indeed, as pointed out above, early Christians viewed their highest achievement as: 1) a competition between one's better and worse natures to drive Quality; 2) seeking to meet the needs of others, viewing them as Customers; 3) having the Ultimate AIM of expressing the love of God, and thus being pleasing to the Creator; 4) an expression of cooperation where each person unselfishly contributes their best for the good of all; 5) where those that have greater knowledge facilitate the expression of the talents of those with less knowledge; 6) working together, whenever appropriate, in harmonious, mutually-respectful small groups; 7) overtly striving to drive out fear and replace it with perfect love, having unselfish respect and appreciation for other people; 8) firmly built on building a foundation of useful information, having a working knowledge of the teachings from God as found in the Bible; 9) Dynamically applying fundamental, positive, overlapping principles to deal with ever new and challenging situations; and 10) exercising our best talents, together, doing important/meaningful/customer-validated work that brings individually and collectively a great sense of enjoyment and achievement.

These are not flimsy, mushy principles of the latest management fad.  These are ages-old, time-validated ways for people to be the most productive when they band together to accomplish important things.

QUALITY Management makes sense, is perfectly logical, and is validated by centuries of success.
